Yawdy Quan – Save Me

“Save Me” was birthed out of total appreciation for God’s word and true wisdom. In 1 Corinthians 1:18 it states, “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (ESV); it is his word that saved me, that saved us… This appreciation and hunger for his word birthed “Save Me”.

Yawdy Quan

As followers of Jesus, we 100 per cent know that the best gift we have ever received is Salvation. Jesus sacrificed His life for us to be made righteous and we have received eternal life because of Him. Because of Him, we are saved.

Asking God to save you does work, but in order to be a follower of Jesus, you would have to recognise your sinfulness, seek forgiveness from God and truly repent. It will also require you to turn towards Jesus and trust Him completely, forsaking all others and living your life to glorify Him first. This is only possible with the help of the Holy Spirit.

A life aligned with Christ, Worth more than millions.

Yawdy Quan, Save Me

Why does the artist say this line? Because he knows the blessing that comes from following Christ, it is not necessarily material but the main blessing is receiving Christ himself, it is receiving a new identity that seeks after God. Being set free from sin and having the opportunity to have a relationship with God.

“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” – 1 John 5:14

God’s will always lead us down to the path of everlasting life. God’s will does not lead you to evil but to good. So it is important to check if you are truly aligned with the truth and scripture plays a big role in that. So pray and it shall be asked. If you are aligned with the wishes of God.

In the darkness, We should be a flashlight

Yawdy Quan, Save Me

For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” – Ephesians 5:8

Yawdy’s lyric is not that far off when it comes to scripture. God’s word says we should be a light in the darkness and by following Him you possess the light that people need. In times of despair, ignorance and of anxiety, you can be a light in someone’s life. So do not underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank you Yawdy for your song that speaks so clearly. Can’t wait to hear more from you!
