Yahblade – O2 (Gospel Remix)

“this project is a remix from the song O2 by Oxlade. He was talking to a woman (of course) in his video. But as I was listening to the song and feeling the vibe, I just thought “that’s exactly the type of gospel song I’d like to make” and the “Jesus be my oxygen just came naturally. And even though it was through a secular song, I really felt inspired by the Spirit and I could declare my love to Jesus with ease and grace.”

We need oxygen to breathe… In the case of this song, oxygen resembles Jesus. Did you know that the very air you breathing right now was provided by God? Did you know that the capability of your lungs working right now is a work of God?

He is literally our oxygen, He is the one that gives life and takes it away.

“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal, and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.”

Deuteronomy 32:29

When you have realised that you cannot live without God, when you have realised that you can no longer depend on yourself, you have reached the right place because only God ordains things. So cling to him like you would cling to oxygen in space because although it is not at the forefront of your thoughts, He is ultimately the one who holds all things together.

Thank you Yahblade for your song Oxygen that reminds us who Jesus should be in our lives. Can’t wait to hear more songs from you.
