After her live track ‘Foothold’, singer-songwriter WhenSheSpeaks returns with a new summer banger.

‘Hold On’ is an uplifting track that sees the London-born artist step out of her comfort zone and go with her natural sound and purpose, encouraging people to stay on goal no matter what distractions are thrown your way. Her authentic sound comes through in this song, a refreshing funk/R&B infused vibe, a song that is guaranteed to make you vibe.

“Life will throw so many distractions at you that you will start to question your actual calling…sometimes you just need to be still for a moment and ask yourself what is my purpose, what am I trying to achieve here and why am I trying to achieve this, you will get clarity from that”

This song clearly speaks to the person who knows what they are supposed to do in life. “Hold on” speaks about not giving in to fear or not allowing it to control your actions. It has a theme of holding on to the Mighty One by being obedient to what He has called you to do.

If God has given you a spiritual gift, you need to use it to glorify Him, You need to use it to edify the church. (Romans 12; Ephesians 4:11)

We are many members but we belong to the same body, everybody has to do their part to further the Kingdom of Heaven. So hold on to Jesus and never let go for He is mighty, and he is always with you.

Although many of us will lead individual lives and calling, the most important and general calling is found in the verse below:

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

So Hold On, don’t give up, don’t give in to fear, He is right there with you.

Thank you to the beautiful artist for the words in her song. Can’t wait to hear more!
