Still, God (Through it All) is a song birthed from Heart Church Nottingham, sang by the church congregation in a season of hardship and questions faced by the whole world.
In the beginning of this song, we hear a person questioning if God is still present. As humans we tend to doubt the realness of God because we live every day in a life full of regular things, natural things, “realistic” things.
When the fire or trouble comes, we as humans want the easy way out and sometimes even as Christians we just want God to part the sea, to provide manna from the sky because we are just so tired and lazy and we want what we want now.
We doubt God because sometimes all we want from Him is what we get out of Him, We do not live the truth because we are in pursuit of other things.
The God of the Bible is the same God we believe in, The one who parted the seas, the one who provided a way for the Israelites, the one who rose again from the grave.
He said it himself:
“For I the LORD do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.” – Malachi 3:6
We are the ones who change, who doubt, God remains faithful regardless of the fire, the storm or the pain we are in. He is faithful and does what is right because He is all good, all just and is love.
He is Still the same.
Thank you Heart Worship for this touching song and may the world know Him through the work you are doing.
