“It was only by the grace that I got this far and I’m still around, it was real struggling on a Riri ting, man down, But I know when I call HIs name, I know that I like that flame, So imma chop life now and forever, forever and now.”

This song has brought flames to the Christian music industry, Holy Spirit flames. I love how the artist writes about the grace of God and how he merely exists because of it. It takes a humble person to understand this grace.

But He gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

James 4:6

“God cover, I don’t fear my enemies, New mission, running to the Lord like a hooligan, Looking through the lens with a new vision, Got me crying ‘Jesu” Eman Kellam (Jesu), With God, I fear no-one”

This piece of the song speaks about the protection God has given us, this protection is not merely angels flying down with their shields but it is in God’s law, in His warnings, in the cross and in accepting Him as LORD and saviour.

When we turn from darkness and we turn to Jesus, we literally need to run to him like a hooligan because there is no other way. When he speaks about this new lens, it is the way we see things that enables us to run to Him, if you knew how much He has truly done for you, you would run to Him, if you knew what He wants to save you from, You’d sprint towards Him.

Knowing God’s word is such an important part of the way we see things. If we see things for what they truly are, then we can truly understand God. But this work comes from the Holy Spirit and nobody else. But we have a mission to spread the word of God.

In times of trouble, he cried out to Jesu. You need not be afraid of looking weak, or vulnerable before Jesus, he knows what you are going through and He has His ears and heart wide open waiting for you.

“I got no time to play, We got no time to wait, I’m tryna see them saved and it’s only by your grace.”

This piece of the song truly points to the end times, we are literally living in those times right now. You see the floods, you see the locust plagues, you see the pandemic, you see false preachers and prophets out there? It is real and there is no time like NOW to give your life to the LORD, but do not do it because you want something out of it. Pray for forgiveness for your sins and turn away from them and run like a hooligan to the arms of Jesus.

The reason Christian artist writes lines like this is to make you aware of what is happening, they do not want to see you in hell, they want to see you in heaven side by side with them. We know Hell is real and we here on earth have only experienced maybe even a fraction of what it really is.

I heard this one quote in the week that made me really think and it goes:

“People on Earth hate to hear the word REPENT. Those in Hell wish they could hear it just once more.”

Take that thought into consideration. This is why we really want you to understand because we care and love you. If we offend you, we are not sorry because if we had to choose between offending you and saving your life. We would choose to save your life.

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Acts 20:24

Thank you to the artist for dropping the gospel, grace and Jesus on your track. You are making a difference.
