Luke Wareham feat. Lou Fellingham – Honour You Lord

Psalm 29 says:

‘Honour the Lord, you heavenly beings; honour the Lord for his glory and strength. Honour the Lord for the glory of his name. Worship the Lord in the splendour of his holiness.

Luke wrote this song with a friend named Matt Caddick and they believe that this verse is prophetic for the very season we are in, where we constantly experience lockdown during the pandemic.

Their hope is for you the listener to be impacted by this song in a way that steers you to focus on the holiness of God while speaking life into other people lives.

‘We pray this song will help the church to sing out praise to God again and focus on his holiness as we come out of lockdown. 2021 might not have delivered the fresh new start that many of us had hoped for, but we can walk through the rest of this year knowing that we have a God who loves us, is for us and will never leave us. We need to be proclaiming this good news and telling others about the eternal hope and joy we have even as we come out of a pandemic. Ultimately we hope this song will draw people to Jesus.”

– Luke Wareham

Luke Wareham is a worship leader and a songwriter based in the southwest of the UK. He is truly passionate about drawing people closer to Jesus and loves seeing others come to new life through worship.

No matter what we do here on earth, whatever our calling might be, we need to honour the Lord through it. We truly need to seek that same desire as Luke has for drawing more people closer to Jesus, but we need to do it through our own gifts and talents.

God has a plan for our lives and it is about time that we surrender our plans and listen to what He has to say.

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31
