Kisha Grandy is a former member of Kirk Franklin & The Family, She’s also an actress who performed in Tyler Perry “I Can Do Bad All By Myself” stage play and many more films, plays, and concerts!

In her Song “Epitome” you see a journey of someone coming to the realisation of who Jesus is, recognizing their sin and turning away from it by seeking God’s forgiveness in repentance.

Although we are a mess and we are still sinners, Jesus went to the cross because He loves us.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this While we were still sinners Christ died for us”

– Romans 5:8

We are truly undeserving of the freedom Christ has given us through His love for us. Why I say this is because everyone falls short of the glory of God, we are all sinners.

Even when we hurt God He never gives up and He works on us through His Holy Spirit. But one day when he comes again, He will finish the work He has started and His masterpiece within us will be complete. (Philippians 1:6)

God sees us as perfect regardless of our failures and flaws because of the covering of Jesus’ blood.

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”

– Isaiah 1:18

This is the God we serve, the one who changes our hearts and turns it towards the light so we can truly see who we are in His name.

God is someone you can always run to, one that absolutely loves you. He is the epitome of love, forgiveness, and grace. In this beautiful work of art by Kisha, I truly relate to it, and I believe many Christians will relate too.

Because this is a song that reveals what it is like for a Christian to come from a life of darkness and into a life filled with joy and grace. Being a Christian is such a blessing and to have songs like this come from God’s children is amazing.

Thank you for using your talents and your beautiful voice for His kingdom.
