Kinsu – “Wait” feat. Gemstones

“Wait” is the soundtrack that conveys the joy of being loved and finding true love. Layered on a mid-tempo Afro vibe, “Wait” is a beautiful expression of the journey to finding love and the feeling of fulfilment and gratitude when love is found.”

‘Wait’ is a beautiful love song. It speaks about how your true love ought to be your one and only. It also sheds light on the fact that we ought to ‘wait’ for marriage.

Waiting for the right one means spending time in God’s presence, praying for your future wife or husband. Pray that God leads you to him or her.

When it is time to start looking for a spouse, we should begin the process with prayer. First, we must commit ourselves to God’s will.

“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart”

Psalm 37:4

Choosing to delight in the Lord means we find great joy in knowing Him and trusting that He will do likewise for us. When we delight in the Lord our hearts will be filled with His desires.

When waiting or searching for a spouse, they need to be worth the wait in terms of God’s standards because the spouse we may want may not necessarily be the spouse we need. So we need to firstly trust in God’s desires for us.

When pursuing someone we need to also think of biblical standards, we can no longer go for someone merely because they are successful or look good, they need to be spiritually inclined with God. It does not help us when we get into a relationship with someone but we can’t share the love we have with Jesus together.

God should be the centre of every decision, of every waiting moment and pursuit. We do everything to glorify Him first.

Thank you Kinsu and Gemstones for your beautiful love song. I pray that those who hear it will remember that it is okay to wait for the person God has destined them to be with.
