Kelechi – You Are

This is Kelechi’s first self-produced song. She started to venture into something new in hopes of figuring out her unique sound. So this song is basically her love song to God. She hopes that people who listen to this song will learn to feel and understand the intimacy she feels with God.

She calls God her best friend, that He is the only one for her, she calls Him her everything. He means more than this world to her.

When listening to this song you can immediately hear how God means to her. She uses phrases like “You are my everything” and “You mean the world to me”.

How many times do we say this to regular people we are in love with?

I believe this song shares an even deeper message than intimacy. There is a whole story behind the very words she uses.

God should be our everything…

We live in a world where we as human beings tend to make other things our everything. But God is clear. He only belongs on the throne of your heart, if there is anything or anyone holding a bigger portion of your heart than Him. It is idolatry.

It is a difficult thing to hear, but also quite difficult for me to say. But it is the truth.

“You shall have no other gods before me” – Exodus 20:3

I pray that this beautiful work of art inspires you the listener to truly put God first. Make Him your everything. You will not be sorry. Go and search His word and discover the deep, full unconditional love Jesus has for you.

This love sets captives free.

Thank you so much to the artist for sharing this authentic sound, truly guided by the Holy Spirit. I truly appreciate every word and every melody and beat.
