Kalisito – I’m Done

“I wrote this song because I was done striving to earn my spot as a child of God, I was done living in fear of shame and condemnation lest I stumble. God showed me that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus and that He’s already given me His grace for free! Nothing I could ever do compares to the price He’s paid for me. We are redeemed and set free, so let’s start believing it and walking in it.” – Kalisito

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.  – Romans 8:1-2

This song is one of my favourites this week. It speaks about the freedom we have in Jesus Christ. Jesus has called us to a new life, He has called us by a new name. We are made new by believing in Him.

Therefore anything you were before Christ does not count against you. If you sinned, your sin is covered by His blood and righteousness. You are justified in His name.

If you are truly justified, you feel convicted by your sin which leads you into repentance, it shows you that you lived a life of sin but now you can live a better one because no longer are you a slave to the darkness of sin but you are Jesus Christ’s servant.

Being adopted into God’s family is the greatest thing that could ever happen to any human being on the planet. Why? Because He has defeated death and he rose up from the grave. Those who believe in Him do not only receive a new identity but receive Eternal life.

Thank you so much to Kalisito for your beautiful song. Love it so much and I pray everyone who listens to your song will be blessed and find their identity in Jesus Christ who is our saviour.
