J-Era – Joy

This new track from J-Era title “Joy” feat Perston Holland, is definitely an anthem for those who are dealing with difficult seasons, troubled times, tough situations etc.

What comes to mind is the picture of young kids walking in the streets singing Joyfully even though life is kicking their butt. They are so carefree, they laugh in the face of their enemy.

That’s what this song represents.

The opening line of the song accommodated with an epic old school Hip-Hop beat, “We laugh in the face of demons, smile in the faces of hate, we have a taste of laughter this is a joy deep down you can never take”

This reminds me of a verse in the bible

“For you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings, I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”

Psalm 63:7-8 ESV

This song should inspire its listeners to laugh in the face of the enemy because they are so utterly confident in the power of their God. Understanding God’s power is a key to understanding how much control He truly wields.

Fearless are those who trust in the Lord. Like a young child that trusts in everything, their parents tell them. That’s the belief, the faith we should carry. With that promise of protection, we can easily laugh and find joy because we understand fully the faithful God we serve.

Go and check out this song, especially for those of you who have been dealing with the worst demons. God is with you and don’t you forget that.
