Elijah Kyner – Paradise

“Paradise is a creative blend of indie pop, lo-fi, and hip-hop vibes paired with Christian lyrics. It combines multiple creative vocal elements with a swing beat to push the boundaries of normal, contemporary Christian music. I hope to change the scope of CCM and find new horizons in the realm of Indie pop through the unique style of this track, and I am attempting through the creation of this track to present my desire for the colourful and exotic when it comes to music.”

What is Paradise? Let’s see what google says:

(in some religions) heaven as the ultimate abode of the just.
“martyrs who die in battle with the ungodly earn instant transmission to paradise”

Similar: heaven, the kingdom of heaven, the promised land, the heavenly kingdom, the City of God, Abraham’s bosom, the New Jerusalem, the Garden of Eden.

Google most surely has a very biblical answer. Did you know that we were made to live in the Garden of Eden?

Within you and me and everyone who is living is a longing to be in paradise where there is no pain, where everything is good, where there is no labour but rest.

You see, our very longing for paradise is a longing for God because we were made to live in His presence, to be close to Him. When we need rest He should be our place of comfort. When we are sad, He should be the person we go to for Joy.

One day He will return and He will restore creation to it’s perfected and original design and shape. But only a few people will be allowed to enter the garden of Eden, into the new Jerusalem and those are the ones who believe in Jesus Christ. Not only in His name but in Him as a person, as a God who has died for the sins of the world and who rose from the dead to defeat death.

A prayer that you could pray would be Psalm 139:23-24. You need God to reveal to you your faults and your sins, so you can repent and turn to Him, seeking forgiveness.

There is no better time than today. Jesus is with you regardless of this pandemic, regardless of bankruptcy, poverty, depression, sinfulness…. there is a paradise that awaits those who serves and worships Him wholeheartedly.

This song is a beautiful piece of art that reminds us of what is yet to come. Trust in the Lord and choose Him to be your saviour today.

Thank you Elijah for your incredible piece of art. I 100 per cent love the mix of Lo-fi, indie and pop in this song. It balances out so well. Thank you for using your talent to advance the Kingdom of God. Love your music.
