The purpose of this mixtape is to project the marvellous light of Christ into peoples lives. Including my own. The music is meant to inspire us to seek a deeper relationship with God and trust Him more. It is also meant for the people who have been in the dark or neglected. This body of work contains rap, r&b and spoken word. God bless you as you listen. – Dansmko

When listening to this song one can visualise a battlefield. The artist spits lines and scriptures like this one for example:

“but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

– Isaiah 40:31

He is putting emphasis on the fact that we can rely on God for protection, One of God’s characteristics is that He is a provider, so no matter what we are faced with God provides everything needed for us to overcome whatever trial or challenge we are currently battling.

The artist also mentions a very popular verse:

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ

Philippians 1:6

Another Characteristic of God is that He always keeps His promises. He remains faithful even when we don’t. The writer of this verse or even the whole book of Philippians is an apostle named Paul. Now when Paul mentions this verse he mentions it in the context of believers.

Believers are people who follow Jesus and live for Him. Being a Born-again person requires repentance of sin and a turning to Christ in trust. Every day we battle sin (Ephesians 6) and every day we grow closer to Christ-likeness. So when Paul says God finishes what He starts, He means that one day every Christian will become glorified (Romans 8) and this means we will become Holy like Christ, without the stain or curse of sin.

Thank you to the artist for your beautiful use of scripture, I truly appreciate this song and the things it teaches, May all who hear it be as blessed as I was when I listened to it.
