Chaplain Tim – I am not afraid of the terror by night (feat. Alice & Belle)

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, – Psalm 91: 5

From the depths of his soul, Chaplain Tim churns out comforting Christian music based on his experience in life, his inspirations, and his faith in God. Through his music, he has a mission to inspire, comfort and care for people.

During a hostile mission assignment in Biafra, Tim wrote “I am not afraid of the terror by night”. During the song, he reflects on a difficult period of his life marked by extreme violence. The Fulani herders unleashed terror on the poor farmers, raping and slaughtering some of them. Chaplain Tim prayed ceaselessly every midnight during the terror and in the days that followed. In the wake of suffering, the Holy Spirit inspired his first single, which was a solace for his soul.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” – Psalm 91: 1-2

I believe that Tim lives with this very verse in his heart. Listening to this song truly brought such an awakening to what people experience out there that we who are more fortunate do not experience. God has brought so many people to comfort and the very talented writer of this song hopes to bring that same comfort to you.

This song also expresses how God constantly watches over us. It expresses that Jesus is just a call away and therefore we have nothing to fear for He will deliver us.

“He will call on me, and I will answer him;  I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” – Psalm 91:15

Thank you to Tim for using your expeiereince to point others into the arms of Jesus Christ in times of fear, anxiety and trouble.
