Cast Away by T.Jay

Cast Away is based on the scripture “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” – John 6:37.

“I spoke about a part of my personal testimony in the church and how I went from making fun of believers in Christ to myself being a believer.” – T.Jay

The hook to ‘Cast Away’ is also based on the scripture: Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:34-36).

The song has two intended purposes according to the artist, one for unbelievers, which is hope in God. That He calls you to Himself to receive His free gift of eternal life.

Two, for the church, a challenge to be ready and able to witness to anybody and everybody. That His salvation is not only for us to hold onto for ourselves but to share with those who don’t know Christ and the freedom and life found in Him.

T.Jay’s testimony told through the song ‘Cast Away’ is one many can relate to. We all were once far off from God, His enemies instead of His friends. Many of us know the routines of church but have felt the lack of faith to accompany our deeds. Some of us have thought of Christianity to be foolish, until the Lord opened our eyes to see that the cross is the power of God unto salvation.

In Christ we are found. In Him we are no longer slaves to sin. In Him we find freedom and life eternal. In Him we will never be cast away. Seek Him today, and you will find Him.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:13
