Amanda Danziger’s New Release: “Don’t Look Back”

Musician and visual artist, Amanda Danziger invites us into the Christian Indie World with her delicate tone and dive into string arrangements making her a unique sound in the worship sphere.

Amanda is an independent singer-songwriter, and worship leader from Pennsylvania.

Her latest release, “Don’t Look Back”, is not your typical Christian worship song, rather it is fueled by trust in God through heartbreaking circumstances. About the inspiration behind the song Amanda had to say:

“The lyrics are about when a toxic person can no longer control you, they will try to control how others see you. Misinformation feels unfair, but you have to stay above it — trust God through the process, and trust that other people will eventually see the truth as you have. Moving forward and forgetting about what others think, and allow your heart to rest in God’s trust.”

‘Don’t Look Back’ was created with Amanda’s vocals as the main instrument, and with time came together with synths and electric guitar. The track is inspired by a melody that played in her mind during her corporate job days. Together with her co-writer, Filipe Michael, “Don’t Look Back”, was brought to life.

As both singer and visual artist, Amanda’s aspiration is to unite different forms of artistic expression with her music. Included in this release is a mesmerizing lyric video that begins inside a 90’s TV set and transforms to modern times.

You can find more of Amanda’s music through her 5-song EP ‘Head & Heart’. She made her debut in 2019 with her EP and has been solidifying her unique place in the Christian music world. She is one to look out for and to get familiar with.

“Don’t Look Back”, is a song that describes a situation that we all may fall prey to at one point or another. When you are being treated unfairly, or your name is being dragged through the mud, it can be tempting to bite back out of anger, hurt, and vengeance.

Amanda gives us a reminder of who it is that truly fights our battles. Although it can be dreadful and painful, those closest to us and more importantly, God, knows our heart. When you find yourself in a place like this, know that you can rest in God’s faithful and comforting presence, even in the midst of the chaos.

Don’t allow that which lies behind to keep you from where God is leading you, or more succinctly put, ‘Don’t’ Look Back’.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Exodus 14:14
