Christian Hip-Hop has had it’s fair bit of comments, criticism and hate/love relationship over the years. However no matter what anyone says about the Christian Hip-Hop scene there have been many tracks that have really impacted the Christian Culture in a way that you couldn’t expect. Some of these songs came as a surprise to many and some even brought tears / controversial talk to others. We just thank God though that we have a growing and flourishing Christian music scene. Not just in Hip/Hop but Afrobeats, Pop, UK Drill and CCM (The Biggest). Below I have made a list of 10 Iconic Christian Hip Hop tracks that in my view really changed my opinion of CHH being outdated.
Bizzle – Way Up (GOM Remix) Feat. Datin, Selah The Corner, Bumps INF, & Jered Sanders
Trip Lee – Sweet Victory ft. Dimitri McDowell & Leah Smith
Ty Brasel – “The Power” feat. KB
Guvna B – Someone’s Watching ft. Nick Brewer
Social Club Misfits – Enough (ft. Austin French)
Andy Mineo – Hear My Heart
Icie – Broken Violins
Hulvey – OTHERSIDE
Kay Sade – The History Machine
Jackie Hill Perry – Lamentations
Let me know what you think of my list! I know that there are many other songs that may have impacted individuals differently so drop a comment of who you would add to this list. Also I’m from London in the UK so UK Christian Rap is my favourite lol not biased at all. UK Christian Rap is able to communicate to me more effectively because of the relatable culture.
